Aukland Architecture has offices in South Australia and Tasmania. We work both independently and in collaboration with selected design practices across Australia and internationally. Our firm was founded on the belief that design processes are necessarily inclusive, intuitive, and visionary, and that architectural outcomes must clearly articulate any briefed program. Our architecture will always meaningfully reinforce or challenge the particular spirit and nuance of place.
Aukland Architecture does not classify projects by scale, size or value. We are fully committed to each of our clients and their requirements, no matter how large, small or complex the commission. We do, however, actively seek to work on projects that hold interesting challenges that call for unique and creative responses. We are dedicated to uncovering opportunities for inspirational and sometimes unexpected spatial experiences and solutions. We commence all projects with a thorough analysis of our client’s brief, and then determine how our own design philosophies might direct the ongoing use of a building and/or site. This ‘master plan’ approach to architecture reinforces our attitude of imagining and defining areas for future opportunity and/or hindrance. We always look to maximise a project’s potential, even if this potential transcends our commissioned activities.
Aukland Architecture has delivered projects in a wide range of sectors, yet we consider our expertise to be specifically focused in three core areas: Residential, Urban/Civic, Educational/Cultural. We have found that these three archetypes often overlap to enrich one another.
Aukland Architecture employs five full-time professionals, and also draws on the support of a dedicated drafting office for both 2D and 3D modeling/animation assistance. Beyond their formal architecture studies, our staff has experience in various specialist areas such as Project Management, Property Management, and Green Star Accreditation.
